Family Portraiture Terms & Conditions

1. These Terms and Conditions apply to Mike Hodges Photography's (hereafter referred to as MHP or MHP's) Family Portraiture Services only. Separate Terms and Conditions apply to the Commercial and Wedding product ranges. These terms and conditions cannot be changed except by written agreement.

2. Family Portraiture Services

The Family Portraiture Package chosen by the client details such information as duration of shoot, number and size of prints supplied. Extra time, prints, albums etc. can be organised at the time of booking or at the time of image selection.

3. Client Privacy

MHP will endeavour to keep all client information confidential and secure as long as such actions do not interfere with MHP's work, as a photographer, for the client.

4. Payment, Cancellation and Bookings

A booking is deemed to have been made on receipt of a signed booking form. Payment will be required at the time of booking. This payment is non-refundable except in the event of MHP cancelling the booking. All subsequent orders for prints, boxed canvases, additional albums etc. must be paid for in advance.

5. Copyright

Unless purchased or licensed from MHP, all copyright resides with MHP in perpetuity. MHP retains the right in all cases to use the images/photographs in any fashion, at any time and in any location around the world for the purposes of advertising and promoting MHP. It is possible to purchase either the copyright or a limited license or this is maybe offered as part of a Family Portraiture package. Pricing for such is subject to negotiation – please contact MHP for details.

6. Additional Charges

In addition to the price of a Family Portraiture Package there may be further charges to cover extra hours (or part thereof), extra travelling, parking fees and other miscellanea.

7. Requested Image & Photographs

MHP will endeavour to comply with the client's specific requests concerning specific groups or poses but cannot be held responsible if MHP is unable to comply. Also, MHP cannot be held responsible for adverse weather affecting the shoot and images produced. In the event of adverse weather conditions MHP will do it's best to provide the agreed coverage in the time allocated by the Family Portraiture Package purchased.

8. Rejection

There is no right to reject images on the basis of style, composition or subjective issues.

9. Photographer's Liability

In the highly unlikely event of total failure of photographic equipment, or its loss or other unforeseen circumstance MHP's liability will be strictly limited to a complete refund of all monies paid at that time.

10. Photographs

Photography is a subjective medium. Whilst MHP will endeavour to ensure all images, colouring etc, match the original subject matter as closely as possible no guarantee can be made concerning exact colours of clothing and people.

11. Use of Image/Photographs

Unless the client has purchased either the full copyright, or a limited license, from MHP none of the images/photographs supplied can be used for any commercial purpose anywhere in the world. Such images can be posted onto the INTERNET for domestic purposes as long as MHP is given a picture credit as shown (© Mike Hodges Photography 2008) and the images are no larger than 500 pixels in any dimension (at a maximum resolution of 72 DPI). Any other use of the images/photographs can be negotiated but payment must be made before use.

12. Pricing Variations

Please note that the pricing of all Family Portraiture Packages comes in two versions.

Weekly Pricing – defined as Monday to Thursday excluding Bank Holidays.

Weekend Pricing – Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.

Please note that coverage required for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day all attract a premium charge. Please contact MHP for further details.
